I have tons of miles/points from churning. I got Chase ultimate reward points, am ex points, Citi thank you points,  a bunch of airline miles like American, United, Delta, Southwest.

Now I need to know the cheapest way to spend these to get to Pakistan.

OK, then the points don't matter as much. Where are you flying from?

P.S. Treat yourself to business (or first even). It's worth it :)

With this amount of points you should def treat yourself unless you want to sell the points and buy yourself a ticket

I’m flying San Francisco to Islamabad any time within the next 2 months.

You guys seem to be pushing business and coach. I never flew that way. How many more points does that eat up?

I've never actually used a mile. I've always been saving them up for a rainy day.

Is there some art to using miles best? I have no idea where to start. Do I start searching each airline? Chase Ultimate Rewards and Am Ex points can be used on a lot of airlines. Do I search city to city along possible connecting routes?

United charges 80k miles for coach roundtrip, u would have to transfer 30k ur to ua.

Most options (e.g. redeeming 80k with united will require 2 or even 3 stopovers.) Only airline that you will be able to go with just one stopover is Emirates, you could transfer 85k amex for an award with them if available.

Don't save for a rainy day; earn and burn. (I know it's counter-intuitive, but miles constantly depreciate.)

You're best bet would probably be to fly TK directly to ISB (via Istanbul) or to ISB (via Istanbul and KHI--a flight you'd have to pay for most likely).

120K UA in J.

TK doesn't go to SFO.

You could take TK to IST or TG to BKK from LAX.

I meant TK as part of a larger *A award, eg SFO-NYC(UA)-IST(TK)-ISB(TK).

If going economy would probably go that way. If op wants J or F then i would switch NYC to LAX.
