No intent they ruled.
Don't know if this was the actual explanation given, but it doesn't seem to line up with the rules as written:
Quote from: http://www.nba.com/analysis/rules_b.html?nav=ArticleList
A flagrant foul-penalty (1) is unnecessary contact committed by a player against an opponent.

A flagrant foul-penalty (2) is unnecessary and excessive contact committed by a player against an opponent. It is an unsportsmanlike act and the offender is ejected immediately.
Nothing about intent.

"unnecessary contact" is very vague

A whole lot better if they play in the next round. But I imagine you aren't the only Dan telling himself that exact thing tonight...

Gotta say, I thought Toronto might've been done when Valanciunas went down in the Heat series, given that he had far and away been their best player (in that series). But the stage it's given Biyombo has been good for basketball. He has been an absolute beast this series, and fun to watch (as long as you're not a Cavs fan).

I feel like the Cavs were fouled a few times too much at the end of the game. And it made the difference in the game. Lowry's strip of James was a clear foul. And , Biambo held down the other defender's hand, after Lowry blew by J.R. Smith.

I don't think Cavs stand a chance at this point, especially if Valenchunis is back next game.
Sometimes it doesn't pay to save money.

Only a foolish raptors fan would say that. Until you win one away from home whoever has game 7 at home has the advantage.
