I'm confused. Why did the Cavs need to include a first in the trade - wasn't LA just looking to dump Clarkson and Nance?
Life isn't about checking the boxes. Nobody cares.

They did not need to dump Nance

All I can say is that the Cavs really want Lebron out next year. They gave a pick to the Lakers to help them clear cap space so the Lakers can have room to sign Lebron next year.

They gambled on him without mortgaging their future. Smart move, but I’m not sure they’re better this year. Rumor  has it they think signing Kendrick Perkins again will do the trick lol.

GOAT MJ never had this problem.

What problem? Thomas is screwed - he wants a max contract, just had a major injury, and is unlikely to start. I almost feel bad for the kid. And a year ago ppl thought he was a lock for the max.

He blames LB for hogging the ball. Isn't the GOAT suppose to make players around him better? Two massive failures for him now.

I’d say the opposite - he blames lbj for making it difficult for him to hog the ball.

Lol lebron doesnt hog the ball. K love and Kyrie were averaging over 20 PPG playing next to him. IT has no one to blame but himself. But in classic IT fashion he blames everyone else besides himself. The cavs were like on an 18-2 stretch before he got back, he comes back and they are getting killed.

The criticism of Lebron is that he is too selfish not the opposite

Would you agree Kyrie is a better player this year?

Hes not 100 percent healthy and hes trying to get a big contract so he wants the ball in his hand. If he would be 100 percent healthy and defer to Lebron and play off the ball he would have been better. He wanted to do things his way. He thinks he is a superstar which he is not and that is ultimately what led to his demise in Cleveland.

IT was better in the same system last year. It is the system that is allowing them to succeed. I dont think he is a better player now, he is just happier and playing better in a system that is geared to make him the primary focus. You will always look better if you are option 1 than if you are option 2.

I am not understanding. Shouldn't he be put in the best position to succeed or was that worst for the team overall?

very simple: there is a pecking order. When you are number 1 you have more of a chance to shine. That doesn't mean he is better this year than last year.

Look at Kyrie before Lebron showed up and after Lebron showed up. Did he not get much better once Lebron showed up?

Didn't watch him to be honest. What about K Love, better or worse?

his scoring went down naturally as he went from being a first option to a 3rd option but he was more efficient
