ETA: If you want to continue this nonsense we can play with stats all you want.
http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1649603-comparing-lebron-james-playoff-buzzer-beating-shots-to-michael-jordans-best

And very few articles from the 90s have LBJ over MJ. Why don’t you cherry pick stats that are less than 5 years outdated.

Is that your argument?
There is no argument after you finally agreed that MJ is the current GOAT!!!

I don’t think you ever should compare active to retired players in terms of legacy. It’s too hard to do.

But in my mind, MJ isn’t the GOAT of retired players. Russel is.

If you don't think you should compare them then why do you keep doing it?

If you want to compare MJ to Russel for Goat that is fair. I don't have a problem with that. The issue with Russel is he lacked the offensive game.

You notice that you’ve been making most of the comparisons here and criticism of lebron/cavs.

You need to define your terms if you wish to distinguish them. The article doesn’t do a great job at doing this.

The article wasn't about that, it was just something that came up in the comments.

I criticize LeBron, yes. That leads all you to bring up MJ and I have to set you all straight.

Look how this last discussion all started. I posted "Is everyone dead". You all brought up MJ. If you look at the time stamp of the post it was right after Lebron made that insane bank shot to win the game. I was given LeBron a compliment and you all turn it into a MJ discussion.

It is ironic how you claim to know so much about MJ without ever seeing him play.
I saw him crush our early 90s dreams several times in person.
That's why I feel somewhat bad for Toronto fans. Or is it LeBronto now?

In this instance, I recall bringing up the celebration since you criticized LBJs celebration last buzzer beater. I didn’t get a chance to watch so I didn’t even know LBJ got on the scorers table again. I was playing pickup ball.

Thoughts on GOAT vs BOAT?
Never thought of it before but it is an interesting point.
GOAT = Includes everything?
BOAT = Basketball (skills executed) performance only?

To be honest, I am personally conflicted on the GOAT argument. I think it's either Wilt, Kareem, MJ or LBJ.

The reason why I post that LBJ is better than MJ, is because @ChaimMoskowitz acts as if LBJ is not in the conversation.

Am I supposed to counteract that with "LBJ might be better"? Gotta fight fire with fire!

When it comes to current GOAT he is not in the conversation. Just listen to EJB. 😂

Not what I said. Learn to read. I said I don’t like comparing current to retired players. So there is no simple GOAT (unless you define GOAT to exclude active players).

Also, if LBJ were to retire today, I probably wouldn’t consider him as GOAT. But I think, unlike mike, he has more gas left in his tank.
