Did you hear anyone complaining about GS being too good before KD joined? This is the point, it's KD joining an already histrionically great team, that we are kvetching about.
It was a simple question you need to answer before we can have an honest discussion. IMHO they were not a super team.

Historically great team? How many NBA championships did this team win before KD joined?

I don't think they were a super team in the way were are talking about before KD joined.

And of course they are historically great. One of the easiest definitions of making history as a great team is having the best record. Which they did.

I took "historically" to mean more than one year.

Fans don't like it overall and they will likely watch the regular season less because it means less when one team is such a clear favorite to win.
I'm ignoring the first part, since you can't really quantify it anyway. I'm skeptical of the claim that people are watching less. Measuring viewership is tricky nowadays, given that games are viewable in so many ways. None of the sources I've seen (including, or maybe especially, the link you posted before) paint a very clear picture. Here's an example claiming this past season was super successful:

"Super Team" is just some made up term. How could the Bulls second 3 peat not be a so-called ST with MJ, Worm and crybaby Pippen?

how did that work out with Paul George. If you have a chance to get a Kawhi you should do whatever you can to get him.

Wrong.  You don't gut a roster just to get one guy regardless how good he is.  Especially when that one guy is coming off an injury.  Boston isn't doing it, 76ers aren't doing it.  Lakers aren't doing it.

Signing with the Nets next year as an UFA ≠ trading high quality assets for a loaner year player.  Especially since next year his health will be less of an unkown.

If Ingram, Kuzma, Ball and Hart make strides with the veteran tutelage they are going to get in the next 12 months, there will be plenty of UFAs willing to take a max contract with the Lake Show and LaBron next YEAR as we'll as plenty of journeymen vets willing to come to round out the team.

Look how the Knicks still stink after giving away the farm for Melo

Guess you missed the "make strides with veteran tutelage" part.

Ball's athletic.  Good defender, good rebounder, good passer.  Needs to work on his shot/become more of a scoring threat.

How does a veteran turn someone who puts up bricks into a shooter?

He doesn't.  A shooting mechanics coach does.

He helps him get a couple more assists, steals, blocks per game.  Mental preparedness.  How to play against certain players.

That horse has left the barn.

I've watch MLB pitchers change their delivery, MLB batters change their swing, PGA players change their swing, NFL quarterbacks change their delivery, NBA players change their stroke, NFL lineman change their footwork etc etc

Saying that a 20yr old Ball can't change his shot is shortsighted.

Not when his Dad is involved. :)
We are not talking about an adjustment. He needs to learn to shoot all over again.

Lebron learned how to shoot free throws this year from Kyle korver and his ft% improved from 67% to 73%
