You wouldn't know defense if you seen it. I guess using your logic if someone goes 1-14 I could say he made the shot when it counted.  ::)

So you didn't watch?

Did you forget 0 defense?
Lebron is in his 15th season. All he cares about is the finals. That's why the past few years he only played 70-75 games. This year he was pressured to play all 82. He has to relax somewhere. He is coasting on defense. Once the playoffs start he will be locked in.

That is exactly why he will never be considered the GOAT. Been the knock on him his whole career.

Was MJ considered the GOAT when he was 33?

There was talk after his first three peat. By his 15th season he was already crowned. What's your point?

That it's too early to have a real discussion of what number LeBron will be considered on the GOAT list.

There is no list at this point (Ricky Bobby).  :)
He played 15 seasons. That is more than enough time. Give him credit for coming back to CLE and winning a championship but that is it.

He also played 15 seasons and hasn’t shown signs of decline, which is pretty impressive. If he’s able to win the record for most points while totaling 10k assists and rebounds, that’s pretty darn impressive.

As said before Jordan was a weakling with a gambling problem that's lucky he got 15 seasons and was playing like a grandpa at this point while Lebron is still playing like the GOAT that he is. A few lucky seasons won't compare to a lifetime of the best stats any player ever had.

To be clear, Jordan was definitely one to coast on D until it mattered, or until someone pissed him off.

I guess that is why he lead the league in steals several times.  ::)

Good to know that's how you define defense.

And...? Last 3 to lead the league in steals were Wall, Curry, and Ricky freaking Rubio. Not exactly world beaters on the defensive end. I don't think I'm gonna base my opinion of a player's defensive capabilities on steals alone. I should add that James Harden, inventor of the matador defensive method, is in the top 10 in steals.

I define defense by watching the player. I know you grasshoppers like numbers so I did that for you.  :P

You picked a crappy example ;D. So you're going to tell me, having watched so much of Jordan, that he consistently gave 100% on the defensive end? That's BS.

He was one of the most competitive players that ever stepped on the court. He was a great defensive player. He consistently gave 100% at both ends.
