I just assumed that is what you were referring to. Sorry. And yes unfortunately my internet  (when it was working) cut in and out all game.

Nope. He played absolutely terribly.

35 mins, 2/5 from the field, four fouls and--count 'em--eight turnovers.

No, his four boards and three assists to not even begin to compensate for that abysmal performance.

CV, it's amazing how much of a dinosaur you are on this issue. In the words of possibly the best X's and O's oriented NBA writer out there today, "this was an insanely well-played game". Read the whole article (or any of his articles from the playoffs). You'll realize how little you actually know about the game.
That guy is a complete idiot.
"But in terms of the stakes at hand, the palpable urgency, and the overall quality of play, this was the greatest Finals game since … I’m not sure when."

What game was this guy watching? Exciting at the end, yes. No way was this a well played game. Four of the big six had poor games. LaBum plays only in the forth. You believe what some sports writer tells you and I will believe what I saw.

Put on your glasses old man. Maybe you'll see what everyone else does.

ETA - Just in case, I should mention I mean this all in good fun. Let me know if it's too much.

Good fun is fine but lets look at the box score and see how the big six did. To many of the big players had a bad game for this to be even a averaged played game.

I figured a guy whose glory days were the Jordan era Bulls has gotta appreciate a little trash talk, just like Mike.

Back to the point. Which one do you want me to look at, the box score or the game. Not every turnover or missed shot is created equal. Some are bad offensive play and some are forced by brilliant defensive play. You have to know what's going on to tell the difference.

And CV knows what he's talking about he used to coach basketball. Right?

I coached basketball too, but not in the NBA. You won't find a writer with a better understanding of the game the way it's played today than Zach Lowe.

Glad my memory isn't going yet.

When's the next soccer game? Maybe I'll come by to root for the other team :P

Since you seem to be watching a different game, the box score.  :P

P.S. Maybe you should have that idiot explain the box score to you.  :)

Ah yes, wonderful tactic. Quote only the part of the sentence that was meant in jest, that way you don't have to respond to the part of substance.

I have never +1'ed in my life, but +1000000 to that.

This series has been incredible. Weird, yes. Some games not close, yes. But the quality of play has been through the roof. It blows my mind that some people are complaining that the series hasn't been entertaining.

Q.  Did you take into consideration fouling up by three with the final seconds of regulation?
COACH GREGG POPOVICH:  That's a European question, right?

Q.  Yes.  We usually do in Italy and Europe, anyways.
COACH GREGG POPOVICH:  Right.  We don't.
last time I checked, 2 of his stars are European and play European style (run around and throw up circus shots)

I'd hardly call Parker a European basketball player. He spent 2 years as a kid in France and joined the Spurs as an 18 year old. In fact, attacking the rim is supposed to be the American way of playing.

Parker may not play a Euro style per se (although "run around and throw up circus shots" does not define Euro ball at all), but the Spurs of the last 2 years are the closest I've ever seen any NBA team coming to playing Euro style.
