Anyone wana weigh in on nets trade for Garnett and pierce ? (Mods maybe change thread name to "NBA News discussion" or s/t)
I think it's a desperate move by prokorov,
Gives nets toughness , but they are so old.

Don't think there are enough touches to make Garnett, pierce, joe Johnson, dwill (scoring pg) to make every1 happy.

Coach Kidd has his hands full.
i didnt have to much time today but yes lets switch this to just NBA thread.

I have been saying i like the move. Makes them real. It will def give a missing boost that Wallace was supposed to bring to the table. And terry a legit get off the bench. I do believe 3 first rnd picks is nuts. Nuts ok. And yes there old but so are a lot of the others. Boston is rebuilding and its really Indy and chi who is going to be legit. I think overall the move is pretty decent and worthwhile.

I just hope it doesn't blow up in there faces breminds me of when the mets at the all star break trade away promising prospect Scott Kazmir for victor zambrano. They thought that was there missing piece and it all blew up that season.
If you have any questions please search and then ask. PM me for detailed help.

draft picks also bothered me, but nba draft isnt like nfl or mlb, especially if nets think they will be competitive for awhile,so picks wont be high,
however i wouldve saved them for a better trade.

I dont think that the issue is so much the actual draft picks as much as the fact that giving up all of those picks handicaps them from making trades going forward

bit u do realize its every other yr. so technically they have picks to work with in the future.
In addition with the team they have now those picks won't be worth much anyways. (At least thats what there hoping).

If you thought with bargani signing the Knicks hit an all time low. They sign brand. Another 7 footer who can't play. They should jut go for the trifecta and sign Jason Collins.

and what was Kmart avg? Don't think they signed him for offense , backup big man.
However I prefer they keep Kmart. Proven that he works in the system

it would make so much sense. Whether or not setting up for an amazing three with lebron next yr. and Irving is that good he just needs one player who is that good too.
