I think he had a ticket he already cancelled and he needed to use them within a year and he can't so now he wants to know what his options are.

Thanks all for replying and help really appreciated. now let me try once more in "English". I got these tickets from a friends us airways acct, it was scheduled for Jan 2013 I couldn't go then. so he said these tickets are open and good for 1 year, I will not be able go until the year expires so I wanted to cancel the tickets my friend says u cant cancel these tickets (or so he knows) so I said I will try getting some info here from the pros see what my options are AGAIN THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR HELPING A NEW COMER TRYING TO LEARN.

My question was if these tickets are  transferable to other people (if I can change the names on the tickets) . or can I cancel these tickets? And get the points back in the original acct, what's the penalty. will calling them help.  or are there any other options that I can do.

They are not "transferable". As long as you have not flown any part of the ticket you can cancel (for a fee)
