I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

Turn off web shield its a known conflict with k9
and if that doesn't work, uninstall that component (control panel, hit change/uninstall in avast, and you can choose which components to have/remove)

I connected a new monitor to my laptop. I find the screen blurryish. Am I supposed to change any setting on computer so it should adjust for the larger screen?

Also where can I find the setting to keep screen on even when I "shut" the laptop closed?
I am sometimes accused of overthinking things. I am still mulling over whether that accusation has merit.

1. you can try different resolutions in Display settings
2. I usually find it by typing "close lid" in the start screen

Thanks! So I made those adjustments and its alot better BH! I still find the white a little too bright...When I'm on more colored page I wouldn't make it less bright. Is there anything that would make the whites a little less white?

I feel like it's too dark if I do that. When I don't have the white window taking up the full screen it doesnt really bother me, Perhaps it just takes getting used to? Those of you who have a larger screen (24 and up); when your working within one window do you keep it full screen?

first of all, make sure there is enough distance between your eyes and the screen. Then try setting the contrast/brightness on the monitor itself, if that does not do it then try setting the gamma via the calibration tool in windows.

I would like to add a second monitor to my computer (HP Pavilion HPE h8-1360t C).

The current monitor is using a DVI slot. Can I just plug a second monitor into the HDMI slot? Or do I need a new video card? How would I know?

Thanks

I plugged in the 2nd monitor but it's showing that it's not connected to anything. I went to Display Settings but it can't detect another monitor.

What do I do now?

Thanks
