can someone please help. My friend asked me to help him, he has a olympus recorder and he wants to transfer the files to his computer but all he sees on the computer is this file called wmpinfo.xml. None of the recordings show up on the computer even though they're still on the recorder itself. This is a new problem he has been able to do it in the past but recently something happened and he cant find his files. If anyone can please help. Thank you
They may be hidden files
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

As a side, what's the screenshot keyboard shortcut?

Alt+PrtScn, Ctrl+V to paste.

I installed Kaspersky 2015 on a friends new computer. It wasnt letting me access the web. When I turn off the web anti-virus it works. How can adjust the setting to work but still keep me protected? Why don't I have the same problem on my computer?
I am sometimes accused of overthinking things. I am still mulling over whether that accusation has merit.

Too vague.  Are you part of a network?  Does Kaspersky need to allow connections within the network?  Were all websites blocked?  Did you need to restart the PC?

I am not part of a network. I'm not sure what you mean exactly by allowing connections to network. All websites were blocked with both chrome and firefox. Restarting PC didn't help. Only disabling that feature within Kaspersky enabled be access internet. Even when we set web anti-virus to low security level, we still had issue.

What happens when you try to access a website?

Can anyone help? It's the last couple weeks that my laptop computer started getting really hot on the bottom even though I use it for light (internet) usage etc. At times I can barely even touch certain spots on the belly of the machine. The fan seems to be working and all that stuff but still...
TIA

The fan may be clogged, I once pulled out a clump of dust from a fan and suddenly it worked beautifully

I will admit that I am pretty handy at taking things apart, but don't I have to be afraid to open it and perhaps do more damage than leaving it be?
(Reminds me of an ad I saw on a plumber's van: "We'll repair what your husband fixed yesterday"...)  ;)

So try compressed air it costs a few bucks for a can and can help clean out dust

Where do I open the laptop to get to the fan? Which screws do I loosen? I don't want to loosen the wrong screw and have the keyboard plop down to the ground unexpectedly...

every laptop is different, your best option is probably searching youtube for your model laptop fan replacement or take apart
