No need to do that for your Start Menu issue.  sfc also wont really help.  Rebooting into safe mode and back into normal mode should fix it.  Have you tried that yet?

Try installing this:
http://www.fosshub.com/Classic-Shell.html/ClassicShellSetup_4_2_5.exe  (when installing, only install start menu and updater, not classic explorer's)

Windows voice recognition is frozen and won't let me close or move it.

Any idea what it would be called in Task Manager? I can't find it...

I just started up my computer and it works fine. I hope it's no random. Yesterday I tried reboot in safe mode and uninstalling my anitvirus (as someone on windows forums mentioned), neither worked.

When I close the lid of my laptop the screen doesn't go off, I dont have an option to put it to sleep

This is a new hard drive with a fresh install, is it a bad one?

Search for 'device manager' in start menu, and click on it. In the window that pops up, do you see any yellow exclamation points (errors)?

Install all windows updates. Then go to Device Manager, right click the devices showing exclamation points (they may be gone by then..), and click update driver.

Chances are the SM Bus Controller is the one. I would start with that.

Is there a way to double incognito?

For example when doing a 3bm, I use Chrome, Chrome incognito, and firefox. Because the real point of 2/3bm is that one app shouldn't see the other.

Is there a way to use chrome, chrome incognito, and another chrome incognito that doesn't see the other 2?

Thanks.
