The older the os the bigger the nightmare to find the drivers. Windows xp was an absolute nightmare, windows 7 usually finds most drivers, windows 10 almost always finds all the drivers.
I can only second this! Windows 10 is absolute magic in finding drivers!

Ok. So I have a drive that's running out of space. Is there an easy way to swap it out for a solid state (I think that's what it's called) drive, easily move over all the data and, poof, the machine will work perfectly as it did before but with additional space. Or am I dreaming? If yes, how do I go about it?

If the SSD is bigger than your data it's very easy. But if you have more data on the drive than the size of the SSD you're buying, you'll need first to take off enough files to another drive, do the cloning (move system to SSD drive, and then move the backed up files back to the old drive.

I created a hosted network but my ios device no longer connects. It shows the hosted network but keeps turning and turning. Any advice?
I am sometimes accused of overthinking things. I am still mulling over whether that accusation has merit.

You can try deleting the network and recreating it from start, it helped me once in a similar situation.

Is there way to do that without modifying the registry....? (See here)

I don't think so.

You can also try disabling the sharing from your network adapter (unchecking what's checked in the "How to share your internet connection with a Hosted Network in Windows 10" section of your link) and press OK. And then sharing the network again.

Disabling and re-enabling sharing doesn't help. Would you not be nervous about playing with registry?

Not if you follow exactly.

Yes.

If you want to be able - just in case - to undo your change in Registry you can do a backup of that registry key. Right-click on the Key (the folder in the left pane) and choose Export, and save the .reg file.

Should be simple with any cloning software, the Samsung SSDs include such a software with it.

I was wondering if anyone can help me (Re-) install windows on my Asus x202e?
Currently goes to startup repair which runs into an error then i tried refreshing/reseting to no avail.
And finally Tried installing windows 7/8 via bootable usb drive but in the bios  it does not seem to be an option to boot from usb...
Any and all help will be much appreciated!

In the BIOS turn off Secure Boot and Fast Boot (whichever is there and enabled) and see if that way you can boot from a USB.

In the Security tab there is no Secure Boot Control or something like this?
