I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

Foxit has become bloated over the years.
In what way? I haven't noticed anything.

What's a good simple free PDF reader? I've had trouble with Acrobat, and now I'm using PDF Reader by PDF Logic, but it's not smooth.
Thanks.
If you're using Chrome anyway, you could open your PDF files with it.

Thanks. Sumatra seems very good for my simple purposes. :)

Memory usage, extra unneeded features.

Is pc-max-setup.exe safe to download and run? It is supposed to improve internet speed settings.

It's not safe and it does definitely not improve any speed!

My provider said to use speedtest.com and this .exe was on there. I downloaded the file, but AVG would not let me run it until they checked it. AVG came back that it was ok. I decided to check here just the same.
Am I still at risk because I downloaded the pc-max-setup.exe file already?

Downloading the exe by itself isn't harmful.

It is not a "virus" in the real definition, just deceptive crapware which helps you nothing and can hijack settings and display ads.

And about why it was "on speedtest", the reason is because you don't have an Ad Blocker, which is really a most for every internet user!

+1 and I found k9 very useful for that purpose too, it keeps you away from most shady stuff

Definitely right!

An interesting anecdote which I had this week. A friend of mine called me that his K9 keeps popping up blocking a few URLs even though he's not browsing anything! Until we were easily able to trace it to a Chrome extension which he had installed that day.

Wouldn't he been alerted to it by K9 he would've gone crazy when realizing that he starts getting ads all over...

I have a fairly new Acer Aspire E 17.  I'm having an issue with the touchpad.  It will randomly start interpreting single taps as click and drag.  Very disruptive. In Control Panel>>Mouse there is no Advanced Properties tab or the like which would contain the toggle for tap to click.  It's happened before and I resolved it by reinstalling the driver and restarting. It could be that restarting would have done it by itself.  But it's not always so practical to restart.  Any tips?

That kind of behavior could also be due to a problem with the touchpad. Clean it off without getting any moisture inside. If there are mouse buttons below the pad, click them a few times to make sure they're not stuck.

You can use another operating system such as Linux (make a bootable CD or flash drive) to see if you have the issue there too. If you do, the problem is with the hardware.

Rebooting solved it.  Still likely it's a hardware issue?

I'll try the linux thing for fun anyways.  I've never used linux.

Thanks!

Thanks for your help. I do have K9, but I turned it off for a few minutes to check if that had something to do with the slowing. I guess it really does work.
