I need to buy a computer that can run 30-50 chrome tabs easily some of them are heavy applications any suggestions for a good and relatively inexpensive computer?

My laptop was not turning on, besides a blue power light (the screen stayed blank). I held down the power button and restarted it. Now it boots to the sign in screen but it flashes on of randomly very fast and sometimes not even the whole screen. I've tried to power it off and back on again but the same thing happens.

Acer Aspire 3 A315-53-30N0 15.6" Notebook, Intel i3, 4GB Memory, 1TB HD, Windows 10
Try taking out the battery, holding down the power button for ~30 seconds to fully drain the laptop, and then put the battery back in.

I don't have a specific recommendation as there are hundreds (thousands?) of models to choose from that fit the bill. But in general what you should be looking for is a computer with an SSD and lots of RAM (16GB minimum, 32GB is better) for chrome to gobble up.

My hp pavilion 15 is playing up. It boots up normally and will work for approx 3 minutes before the screen just goes blank while the fan continues running. Sometimes the caps lock will flash 3 times. Have tried removing battery pressing power etc with no luck. Any ideas?

The caps lock blinking 3 times seems to point to a memory issue.
Try taking out the ram chips and putting them back in. If that doesn't help, try booting with just one stick of ram and if you have the same issue try the other stick. Try swapping slots to confirm it's not an issue with the slot.

Thank you. Don't have the confidence to open up my laptop and fiddle around with it. Could anybody recommend someone in Lakewood who fixes laptops for a reasonable price?

It's also worth checking if the RAM it comes with is the max it'll support, or if there is room to upgrade to more if needed in the future.
Workflowy. You won't know what you're missing until you try it.

Can you give me an example of what is running in these heavy web pages?
How much of a price difference are we talking about between these two machines after upgrades are done?

I have a very frustrating issue. When I go to specific sites there's a grey film over the site ( as if there's a paywall) and I can click anything on the page. One of the sites are actually mine and I can't login into the backend on Chrome, and need to use a different browser to get in.

Incognito also works fine.

Do you have an adblocker installed that might be blocking it?

Do you have an adblocker installed that might be blocking it?
Or some other extension such as TAG's Image Filter or Skin Filter?

Would incognito get around those?

Depends on your extension settings
Default (and recommended) is that extensions don't run in incognito.

Removed the block from the site, but still having the issue

Not on that PC.

I see that ppl are having this issue but none of the solutions seem to be helping. ( Hardware accelerator, allow to run in background, changing file name ( actually caused sites not to open at all ) etc.

Ok figured it out.

Disabled all the extensions, and added them back slowly and found the culprit.

Thanks!
