I don't know. I'm completely unfamiliar with onedrive. How can I copy it onto my computer and not the cloud?
It is copied to the computer, it's just ALSO synced to the cloud (and when there is the red x then it wasn't synced.)

Tried disabling all extensions? A new browser profile?

A new browser profile seems to do the trick. Does that mean that it's one of the extensions? I tried disabling some that were suspect, but it didn't help, I guess maybe disabling all and then enabling one by one.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

Yes, an extension is the most likely cause.

If anyone owns a laptop with 12th gen Intel processors, can they post regarding their real-world battery life and if their laptops seem to run hot?
Much appreciated.
Didn't get any responses on the thread I posted it on, and I was advised to post here.

This pop-up is from the Windows Installer system service (which is responsible for installing msi installation files etc ) You can see the same window by opening msiexec.

The question is why it pops up on startup. First place to look would be on the Startup tab in Task Manager to see if there is anything not standard/recognized there.

Also, did you install, or try to install, any specific program before this started?

This was off from before or you turned it off?

Start Task Manager as administrator and see if there is anything more there.

Every Problem Has A Solution

If you have an issue you're probably not the only one

simple task find the solution or find someone that has the same problem and see how they dealt the same problem

anyhow for a while i had to login using guess work without seeing what im doing because my built in monitor is broken

finally I took a few minutes googled and found im not the only one and here is the solution

Rather suddenly, my laptop started getting stuck opening programs etc. I did a Windows refresh, which keeps personal files but requires reinstalling any programs. I got an error notification from "Intel Rapid Storage Technology," that my system is reporting one or more event, and data may be at risk.

The page goes on to describe the event regarding my "PCOe SSD on Controller 3, Port 0: At risk (SMART event)." Under Manage

The help page explains SMART events Cause:  An impending error condition was detected on an internal or external disk and is now at risk of failure. Solution: The application is detecting early warning signs of failure with a SATA disk that results from slow degradation over time...

Anyone know what is going on? Does this mean my SSD is beginning to fail Is there some way to do a full health checkup on the SSD health? Could this have been a one time even that is resolved my clicking on the "suppress SMART event"?

Before doing the reset, I restarted my computer several times, hoping it would resolve by itself. I also removed some large files. Definitely, that power cord is plugged in. I assume those questions are about the initial problems to which I reset windows in response. Since the reset, I am no longer experiencing those problems. Now my primary concern is with the SMART error and if it means that I need a new SSD? or some other serious problem?

Any insight on the SMART event or programs that can evaluate my SSD health? I have attached images. The first page is the actual status. The second page is a help page explaining the different "disk events."

The laptop is a 3.5 year old Dell XPS 13 and Device Manager shows a Toshiba KXG60ZNV256G NVMe.

Separate from the SSD issue, I can't remember my "passphrase" to sync with Chrome to access my bookmarks. I am able to find the bookmarks data locally at (C:\Windows.old\Users\(UserName)\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\UserData\Default, but am having trouble import it from there into chrome. Chrome requires an HTML file. Any suggestions?
