I've had an issue like that in the past. Turned out it was a physical issue that when the trackpad was pressed towards the left center it clicked both buttons.
My Tapatalk notifications don't always work.

Work computers upgraded to Windows 11. I hate how the right-click menu was changed and you first have to select "more options" to rename a file. Any way to change that back to the way it is Windows 10?
I am sometimes accused of overthinking things. I am still mulling over whether that accusation has merit.

I don't know the answer to that, but you can use the keyboard shortcut F2 to rename (easier on keyboards that don't require you to also press Fn)
Workflowy. You won't know what you're missing until you try it.

Hold down shift before right clicking. Alternatively edit the registry GIYF

Thinkpad T15 has been giving me issues recently. With a monitor plugged in it randomly freezes and sometimes I get a blue screen, sometimes once a day sometimes once a week.
It seems to happen randomly while browsing usually on a more memory intense page. My feeling is it has to do with either the memory or the added screen.

All ideas are welcome

Things I've tried:
  • Reset Computer (clear all data)
  • CPU Test
  • GPU Test
  • Hard Drive Scan
  • Memory Test
  • Update drivers (including graphics)
  • Update BOIS
  • Buy a new HDMI cable
  • Use HDMI via dock
  • Be at loss

try switching the ram or the screen to rule those out.

Rename is actually there in the new right-click menu, just more discreet:

Your saying I should buy a new screen and RAM just to see if that helps??

(That's over $1000)

The BSOD only happens when the external monitor is plugged in?

Thats not over $1000, its about 150 if you buy them new.
Ram: If theres 2 rams in you can take one out or swap with a different computer
screen: you can buy a used screen for a few bucks or ask a friend, office, or family member to borrow one for a week.

To be clear its usually not a BSOD, just the computer freezes and requires a hard restart.

I never had problems before I got a second one. Sometimes it works fine for a while with the second screen, but it's hard to predict how long it will take for the problem to happen. This makes it difficult to know when you can rule out the second screen as the cause of the problem.

I have four RAM modules and it's difficult to determine if it's fixed even if I take one out.
I don't have any of these lying around in a second laptop..

I don't think it's the specific screen rather the computer being attached to a screen.

I've had that but that the screen goes black. Usually restarting the computer gets it working again. Seems maybe it gets too tired to handle the extra monitor.

Interesting. I tried buying a USB-C to display port but that was like almost an instant BSOD.

Is it possible that the computer is getting too hot? Running extra monitors places greater strain on the graphics controller (integrated, I assume). (It wasn't that long ago that running extra monitors required a dedicated graphics card.) Do you find that the computer is running louder/hotter only when a monitor is in? If so, try clearing out dust from inside using a can of compressed air.

Whatever the issue is, if it happens 'only' when a 2nd screen is plugged in, you have to check if the problem comes from the monitor or from the laptop.
1) Try it with a different monitor.
2) Does your laptop have another port where you can plug in the HDMI or connect the 2nd screen with any other video cable?
3) Sometimes the issue can come with the motherboard itself that it has some faulty parts, Check if your laptop is still under warranty, if yes Lenovo can swap the motherboard, I've had it a few times.
