Keep on getting a BSOD saying "SYSTEM THREAD EXCEPTION NOT HANDLED (bckd.sys)"

I have k9 installed and the latest version of Avast.
uninstall Avast.  Re-install it, WITHOUT webshield.
You may also want to confirm you are running latest version of K9.

you don't have to uninstall and reinstall, in control panel by uninstal programs select avast click"change" "continue" deselect what ever you don't want

No db-9 ports are the "old USB" not it's not a video port

Regular safe mode does not you need safe node with networking

I downloaded two of those programs.  One found a Trojan horse, but deleting it has not helped.  This the most recent message:

Using basic Gateway machine about two years old, W7.  About a week ago, developed some problem between chrome and K9.  Ended up deleting Chrome, and reinstalling.  Worked for a day.  Ended up deleting Chrome and using Firefox.  Worked for a day or two.  All along, the problems were mostly freezing while online and then dead, not even three finger salute.  Now, I can't do system restore, says I need to shut antivirus, which I do, but it still doesn't work, no matter which restore point I try I get the same message.  Now, it freezes almost immediately after a hard reboot.  Ran Defrag, CCleaner and Malwarebytes.  Got blue screen of death twice.  Machine ran the "dirty" clean once on its own.  Software, hardware?  Is this what I get for buying a $300 computer?  Thanks much.
It could be hardrive problem.

To clear up any virus-related issue, lets use Kaspersky Rescue Disk - http://support.kaspersky.com/4162
Should be pretty straightforward..

So then its most probably Avast and K9 conflict.  uninstall/change avast installed features.  Install NO TOOLS, and ONLY File Shield.  (unlike the image below)

Uninstalled K9 and seems to be OK.  My avast was not set that way.

If I re install K9 will this happen again or did something in my system get corrupted.

Install latest K9, but for the 10th time, please make sure that:
1) You have the latest version of Avast installed (2015.10.2.2215).
2) You ONLY have File Shield installed.  Make sure Web Shield and everything else is NOT INSTALLED.

Copy/Paste issues on laptop
« Reply #1216 on: March 30, 2015, 08:42:36 PM »
Couldnt find a thread that speaks to this.

Since yesterday I am having issues on my home laptop (Mac) with command+c and command+v on DDF. It looks like I am copying but when I try pasting it within DDF nothing happens. Any idea how to fix this?

I'm not a mac person, but to narrow it down... is it a problem in all applications? Just on DDF? On other websites? In all browsers?
Workflowy. You won't know what you're missing until you try it.

Not having any issues here.

Did you try resetting you browser? Shutting down your computer? Restarting you computer?

It had only been a problem on DDF. I will try again when I get home to confirm.

have not done so yet. Figured there might have been some setting that I might have set off without being aware. Ill try that too when I get home.

Thanks guys!
