I have an ongoing problem with my laptop losing its internet connection.  I do the troubleshooting and I'm told that the gateway connector was a problem but was fixed. Tab and phones have no such problem.  Thoughts?  Thanks.
Did you try removing drivers and installing new (updated) version?

Where would I find updated drivers if it's oem with the laptop?

If I'm understanding correctly you're asking to add three things?

Bluetooth is the easiest they sell usb dongles for a dollar or two.

Mobile hotspot (to make the laptop into a hotspot... Try connectify

I don't know what you mean about GPS

What Network card is it?  Go to Device Manager to check.  Would be better if you can get me hardware ID, in case it has generic name.

I am working on a networked computer, that is having connection difficulties. Every so often it goes 'down' but just for about a minute. Very annoying. The phone company is aware and it has a little to do with them.
Is there any kind of log that the computer keeps of when it is or is not connected to the network?
I need to show my boss the extent of the problem.
Running Windows 7 professional.

Depends on what exactly is going down.
You can run a continuous ping -t and that will show you disconnects.

Or maybe http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/tcp_log_view.html

I'm not sure. Check around a time you know it dropped, and see if anything looks relevant.
ETA: I had the same thing before pesach, and I suspect it's because I was using an old used modem. You might want to try upgrading equipment.

Yes that is the issue. However the fees are outrageous, so we really need to justify it.

Yes there is a chip inside every laptop (and some desktops) that gives it the power to connect via wifi. This same thing can give the computer the Bluetooth/hotspot capabilities I am looking for someone that has knowledge in this field to help me get the right one for my computer.

Ok so as far as hot spot you can still use connectify and for Bluetooth just get a two dollar usb. I still stand by my last post
