My laptop had different hardware problems and when I was under warranty I sent it in and they fixed it. Its giving me more problems now and I'm not under the warranty. I spoke to someone high in the company and he's "giving a one time out of warranty fix." Last time I gave it in, I thought they would scan for ALL problems but it turns out that they didn't. This time, being my last time, what problems would make them do a FULL check up?

Did you get that when you opened office? Or did that pop up somewhere else

I would ask whoever wrote the program. Sounds like it might be a messagebox that was built in.

Toshiba Satellite C55-B5272. Windows 7.
Trying to reset to factory without a disc.
Held down 0 key while powering up but says,   select  proper boot device. Got blue screen in middle of updates.
I don't care about the info on the machine.. Tia

Got this new laptop today LENOVO G50 - 80E30181US and can't logon to local wifi networks.
I have removed the password on the network, I have also connected 3 other devices successfully today (after the new laptop failed.)
I have uninstalled the network driver from device manager and restarted the laptop. I was able and still can see the different networks, just can't connect to them.
I have tried ipconfig/release and got an error msg that the media is not connected.
I can't forget the network, it is not giving me that option. (when the password was still on the network i had to key in the password with every attempt to connect)
any other ideas?

That sounds like you don't have a network driver any more.

Are there any exclamation points in device manager?

It attempts to make the connection and then says can't connect to network.
I have now removed the LAN wire from the router and stuck it directly into the new laptop.
So I am currently using the new laptop and able to access internet but not wirelessly.
