I am sometimes accused of overthinking things. I am still mulling over whether that accusation has merit.

Besides that one is an 8gb stick and the other is 2 4gb sticks?

I bought a used iPhone 5s on Amazon. When I turned it on the touchscreen did not work at all. I was unable to swipe to open to basic screen. After restoring and updating software it now works. Any clue why it wasn't working? Should I be worried that there is a problem with the phone?
Would not having fingerprint prevent any touch movement on screen?

Oops, good point.
How do I tell if ram on Amazon is compatible with my computer? Crucial.com and Amazon have different model numbers.

Crucial told you a part number for the memory that is compatible with your particular computer model, but Amazon does not sell that part number. Crucial also probably listed the technical specifications. Perhaps use a site such as NewEgg to find memory based on those specifications. Make sure that all the specifications match. Once you have some other part numbers, you can compare prices.

Amazon doesn't list as many technical specs as Crucial does. I'll check if NewEgg does.

Crucial told me that they have multiple part numbers for the same memory.  They have a unique part number for every model computer that that memory is compatible with.  Then they have a generic part number which is the one Amazon uses.  Crucial confirmed for me on the phone that the one on Amazon was compatible with my pc.

Many times my laptop suddenly without any notice just shuts off , it doesn't go into sleep mode it actually powers off , after reaching out to dell they scanned my computer and said they don't see anything wrong with it , the only thing they can think of is to replace my motherboard and that will fix the issue . does that makes sense ?

If you mean it turns off abruptly (such that when you later turn it back on, you do not resume where you left off), overheating can cause that. Make sure the fan is blowing and not clogged with dust. On some models, you can monitor the temperature.
If you mean that it unexpectedly says on the screen that it is shutting down, and then proceeds to shut down, that's a different story. Which is it?
Does this occur when it is plugged in or on battery power? If the latter, how is the battery health?

When programs are open it automatically closes the programs many programs it asked me before to save the work before it closes them, and the screen is saying "shutting down"  like I would of manually powered off the laptop, and it doesn't resume to my previous screen when I turn it back on.
it happens when laptop is plugged into the charger and when it's unplugged.

Sounds like its receiving a shutdown request.  Check Event log.

What's triggering shutdown.

How?
Based on the logs you sent, I'd suggest running chkdsk\.  To do so, open My Computer, right-click on C: drive, hit properties.  Tools, Error checking.  Check both.
