Why not? I've seen it break sites. Not a permanent solution, but if whitelisting the problematic site fixes the issue, then you know who the culprit is

Try changing the default download location setting to a different folder

In chrome?!
Can make a second profile and see if the error occurs there.

What do you mean? A second user?

A second "person" in chrome. Click your name at the top right, and click Switch Person. If you don't see your name at the top, then I don't know offhand how to access that, maybe someone else can answer.

Well now that you know that it's a problem with your profile, you get back to
reset all prefs?
If you don't want to do that, you can try disabling your extensions one at a time and see if that helps.

Forget about the old user. Delete that profile and sign into your Google account under the new profile you created.

The new one should have all your history, bookmarks, extensions and passwords stored. The problem settings generally don't carry over (I had a similar issue recently and this solution worked for me).

According to Crucial.com, my computer is compatible with "Crucial 8GB Single DDR3L 1600 MT/s". How can I know if it's also compatible with "Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB Single DDR3 1600 MT/s PC3-12800 CL9 1.5V UDIMM 240-Pin Memory"?

It's cheaper on amazon, but I don't see it in the list of compatible memory when running the scan.

Thanks!

One is ddr3 the other is ddr3L , very likely not compatible.  IMO it's not worth trying to save $2 being that crucial guarantees it
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

So in general, is any ddr3 ram the same as any other dd3r, compatibility-wise? Or do you need to match the model #s exactly when comparing from crucial.com and other stores?

TY
