Where's the best place to get an SSD, warranty-wise? And also deal-wise :)
Answserd here http://forums.dansdeals.com/index.php?topic=66254.msg1601357#msg1601357

For warranty, the manufacturer's should be more than any store can give. (for SSD it ranges 3, 5, or 10 years.)

laptop brand makes no difference ( I saw the d1000 for $70 from amazon today)
And Dell had the - better - D3100 for only $79, with cupon code SAVE90 at checkout, here: http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/productdetail.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=bsd&cs=04&sku=452-BBPG&dgc=BA&cid=306041&lid=5794457&acd=12309227563360123c101133234&ven3=112203605424576753

Why do I sometimes have trouble loading pages in Chrome, but never on secure sites (banks, etc.)?

It might help if you explain yourself better, chrome is a browser where you can browse secure and non secure sites alike, what trouble are you having? is it only when browsing non secure sites? all non SSL sites do you have truoble to load or only some non SSL sites?

Correct, the only trouble is with non secure sites (like this one). It seems to be all non secure sites, but not always, and it's not terrible; it just adds 10-20 seconds to load the page.

You can try creating a second chrome profile and see if it's still an issue.

check if you have the same trouble in IE,
http://www.httpvshttps.com/
What that page actually does is compare HTTP to SPDY.

If you are connecting through someone else's network or through a filter, there may be some interception going on that does not interfere with secure sites.

Any fix to my CD/Dvd slot as to why it keeps getting stuck and having to use a pin/paper clip to pop open my CD tray? Thanks

Thanks, but I don't think that would explain it.

For returning or for reuse for yourself?

What is the situation of the drive? Is it the only hard drive in a PC? Do you want to transfer the OS to another drive before?

With more details all around it'll be (mustn't be me but from anyone) much easier to advise.

I'd like to return/sell  it,  I used it for a few days (I cloned a old hdd onto it)  but I'm not using it anymore,  I don't need any info on that ssd.

And it is located inside a PC that has another hard drive with an OS running? If yes the simplest (it seems that you didn't have too many secrets on it in this short time...) is simply formatting the drive with Windows (maybe first go with disk management and delete all partitions.)

If you are worried that info can be recovered by those who got it after you, then you should be able to do a more intense wipe with the SSD program from the drive manufacturers (all major ones have.)

The ssd is currently located outside of the laptop..  It's single.

Yes. If I'm not mistaken they call it Secure Erase.

In order for Samsung magician to recognize my ssd it needs to be installed in my laptop (I'd  like to avoid the hassle) it won't recognize it if I just connect it via cable.
