It's the same thing that the Windows version makes when you create usb.  Not sure what your question is.
In regards to cloning drives etc, this is the way to go..

Not sure what your question is.

My question is, if the software and features of the two are exactly the same.

I have a lenovo laptop and the mouse wasn't working. My husband called tech support but the number that first came up on google was a fake number. After they used gotoassist to login to our laptop and started playing around, my husband started getting a feeling they weren't legit and hung up. How can I make sure they didn't do anything to my laptop, steal my logins, or who knows what else?!

No way to be 100% sure unfortunately. You can do some virus scans, avast and malwarebytes for starters

It also can't hurt to change your passwords for any online banking you do

Any way to change IP address if using optimum wifi?
I am sometimes accused of overthinking things. I am still mulling over whether that accusation has merit.

Use a VPN.

Optimum offers free wifi to Optimum coustomers. It requires a code to log in.
Whats the difference between VPN and Proxy? Are there any free reliable options?

Every time you log out and need to log back in, you will have a new IP address, so u don't need VPN/proxy

To double check, just Google "what is my IP address?" And note the number. Log out, and sign back in you will have a new number. Sometimes you need to wait a minute or two between logins

Not such a great solution because they remember your MAC address. Even if you don't select auto login, it can take a few hours till they ask you again for your optimum login...I'm no expert but I think it's called a lease...

Are you set to auto login or manual login?
And who exactly is remembering ur Mac address?
And if you disconnect/forget network, it usually asks you again

Right now I'm set to auto login,  but from my experience even when I set to manual, the optimum router "remembers" me.
Regarding "disconnect/forget network", I'm familiar with that on Apple devices, is there way to do that on regular computer?
