I got that cable out, but still can't get to the last hard drive screw.

Screenshot of the screw I can't reach: http://take.ms/ZcDuK

How else can i get out the hard drive? Can post more pics, just let me know which angle to take them from, TY!

It looks like it's between that cable and the hard drive, can you push down on it?
That is definitely it. You should push that down and shift the hard drive cage up.

Don't have an opinion in this matter. (I wouldn't answer since I don't know. But since your referring to me I'd at least inform you that I don't know personally which of them are good.)
Okay. Really appreciate all of your help though.

Ahhh, didn't realize you were talking about that metal tab! I just pushed it and the hard drive cage came right out.

Thanks both of you!!

Okay, now I'm working on installing it in my new Dell XPS 8900. I got the hard drive into the cage, underneath the new hard drive it came with.

It looks like there are many data cables, but only one power cable (it's blue). Does that make sense?
http://take.ms/LwI7p

Or is there another one somewhere that's not blue?

TY!

The blue one has the wide connector like this?

No. This is the small SATA cable, which is the data cable. The power cable is wider than that, like the one in my picture, and usually, come out of four colored wires.

Ah, okay. The other cable has a wider connector and 5 wires coming out of it. That's the one that there are like 5 of.

You can borrow the orange one from the optical drive, the only difference is the color on the outside of the cable
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

Oh great! Do I just pull it out, or is there a catch somewhere?

And if you want to have it sitting in your new PC permanently, then just take this cable out of your old broken PC.

If you can read the hard drive (even not to boot it) you can probably get the key out with ProduKey from Nirsoft http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/product_cd_key_viewer.html
I am B"H able to read the old hard drive! For some reason it's not showing any product keys when pointing towards the old hard drive. http://take.ms/CPS7Q

Any ideas why not?

Try to load the registry (the last option in source):
F:\Windows\System32\Config\SOFTWARE
