The left key from the touchpad on a Thinkpad t430s (there is 2 of them, and both) stoped working.
I've tried updating/reinstalling drivers, remove, the keyboard, and it's not working in safe mode,
Anything else to try?
Are you referring to the buttons that function as the left mouse button? If so, the drivers to reinstall are for the mouse, not keyboard. Does an external mouse work normally?
To determine whether it is a hardware failure or a software problem, boot the computer using something that has mouse support and see if you can left click. Examples: Linux, Windows 7, 8, or 10 DVD or USB, NPE from Norton.

External mouse works fine, will try to boot from a different os
Thanks

Restarting, or it crashes (blue screen with error or so)?

That's a BSOD, check the event viewer for errors
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

It wasn't a BSOD (given that it was set to produce dump files and there weren't any.) He meant to the blue screen with repair options that show up after some crashes.

Somehow it seemed to have happened by a Windows Update for the Intel Display Driver. Each time that tried to install it just went off. So I used the Microsoft Troubleshoot tool to hide that update. Seems all good so far.

Anyone have this issue? I'm running Windows 10. Using Office and have Outlook 2007. This has been a problem for a while and frustrating. I got rid of add ons as recommended. What happens is, on occasion, many of them, if I delete a message it hangs for quite a while. Not always, but often enough. I get it less often when I click on a message to see what it says in the bottom box. Sometimes it says not responding, but eventually does. No rhyme or reason. Anyone else get this?

Is it fair to say that a i5 desktop will work just as fast as a i7 laptop?

Why do I have many word documents (which I created, and aren't open elsewhere) randomly open as read only?

When it happens you should look with Unlocker or Process Explorer what has that file open.

But while installing watch out! becuase it tries to trick you to install other badware. Click advance install and deny/refuse any offer.

I never heard of this and went to check it out and was greeted by this from chrome:

If it's not free shipping it's not worth it.

Are you using POP or IMAP? I used to have lots of trouble with IMAP and Outlook 2007, probably because my gmail account was too big.
Workflowy. You won't know what you're missing until you try it.
