Thanks!

Good news i got my hands on a CD today and tried installing the drivers Bad news is that ran the drivers (mouse and internet) even though then seem to have installed just fine my mouse and internet (even after a restart) still don't work- Any other suggestions?
Works in bootable OS?

Tried different USB ports? (front/back)

What drivers (USB stuff maybe) seem to be missing in Device Manager?

Hmm, I don't know much about finding drivers. Can you look on Lenovo's website and see what internet / mouse drivers they list for your laptop's model number?

Otherwise, paging @Yisroel Tech

I have looked a the Lenovo website and that's where saw some drivers
(and I believe that also is where @Yisroel Tech was got those driver links from but as he suggested they might not be compatible with Windows 7).

1.The Mouse? how do I test that when it's booting up?
2.Yes
3. When I go to Device manager there is a lot of yellow (which I believe indicates that there is some type of issue with it)

I have a tons of windows open in safari on iPhone. Is there way to save them as a list?
I am sometimes accused of overthinking things. I am still mulling over whether that accusation has merit.

Windows 10 computer stopped booting one day. It gets to the Windows logo and spinning wheel and freezes there. I tried booting into the Windows 10 install USB to try system restore or 'Last Known Good Configuration' but startup freezes when booting into USB as well (also on Windows logo with spinning wheel freezing.) I tried booting into a Windows 7 install USB to try and wipe the hard drive and install Windows 7 over it but the boot also froze when trying to boot into the Windows 7 USB. (See attached pictures of where boot freezes when booting into the computer, or Windows 10 install USB, or Windows 7 install USB.)

Anyone know how to resolve this? I can't even wipe the drive and reinstall because I can't boot into Windows installation media.

Hi. I have an Asus X554L with audio problems. Any help would be appreciated.

No audio from built-in speakers or any headphones that I plug in. Reinstalled audio drivers, didn't help. In the notification bar, it says 'No audio output device is installed'.

Any suggestions? TIA.

Not sure about software, but sites like https://www.saveoffline.com/ and https://www.videograbber.net/free-vimeo-downloader do a good job.

Note: Like with all free-online-services sites, use an ad blocker when going to it, and do not download suggested software (without knowing that the software is good/safe.)

Maybe try these https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/microsoft/windows-10-audio-not-working-after-installing-latest-windows-updates/
Thanks. Just tried that and discovered this:

All of my audio devices* say 'Currently, this hardware device is not connected to the computer (Code 45). To fix this problem, reconnect this hardware device to the computer'

As I said, both the built-in speakers and the headphone jack don't work, so what hardware could be disconnected??

(I opened the laptop and disconnected & reconnected the speakers and tried blowing out any dust, but that didn't work. Anyway I'm not sure how the speakers could be the problem if the headphone port is also not working.)

In case this list helps, here are all the devices that give that message:

Intel(R) Display Audio
Microsoft Streaming Clock Proxy
Microsoft Streaming Quality Manager Proxy
Microsoft Streaming Tee/Sink-to-Sink Converter
Microsoft Streaming Tee/Sink-to-Sink Converter
Microsoft Trusted Audio Drivers
Realtek High Definition Audio

The only one that was showing as connected was Microsoft Streaming Service Proxy but as I was typing this message that also changed to giving the same 'not connected' message in the properties window.

Any ideas?? TIA for any help!

Is there any one piece of hardware that could be disconnected and could be causing both things to not work??

Yes certainly so (the built-in audio card/chip) but it is highly unlikely to just happen out of the blue.
