What device name does it show? Is it the headphones or the computer speakers?

Also, have you tried another pair of headphones in case those don't work?

Computer speakers

The headphones work. If I unplug the speaker wire from the jack the headphones work.

Hmm weird. You can try clicking the Troubleshoot button under output devices. Also if you go back to the other window in your first screenshot, where it shows just one output device, can you right click in the white space and click Show Disabled Devices, and see if it's there?
Workflowy. You won't know what you're missing until you try it.

I tried the troubleshooter - reinstalled the driver, didn't help.

Showing disabled devices was already checked.

I think I'll just give up on this. It's not too important

Does anyone know if it is possible to enable fingerprint pre-boot authentication on a Dell XPS 15 7590?

looking at 2 models of dell Vostro 15 - 7590

Whats better a better HDD for me, I want something quick

512GB PCIe M.2 NVMe Class 40 Solid State Drive

or:  1TB 2.5inch SATA Hard Drive (5400 RPM) + 128GB PCIe M.2 NVMe Solid State Drive

the latter has a weaker battery, too.    Please help. Thanks

SSD speeds are the same. Which means, if set up properly (Data on HDD), your boot time will be the same, and the computer will feel just as fast, with the 2nd option giving you more storage space than the first.

It's possible, but it depends on how savvy one is.

Do you have another user on the same PC that you're able to login to?

No, only a local admin and guest account.

Haven’t tried that in awhile, but remember hearing that it doesn’t work anymore. There is another way using regedit (even easier IMO)

1909?

Either way, like I said I haven’t tried it in awhile. Good to know that it still works.

Sorry used similar commands on 1909

Boot to Windows 10 installation disk
Press Shift + F10 to get cmd

Ren C:\windows\system32\utilman.exe uttilman1.exe

Ren C:\windows\system32\cmd.exe uttilman.exe

Reboot

Use Ease of Access icon to get cmd

Can either do
Net user <username> <password>  to change password of user

Or add new user as administrator

Net user <username> /add
Net localgroup administrators <username> /add

Then fix
Reboot to Windows 10 installation disk
Press Shift + F10 to get cmd

Ren C:\windows\system32\utilman.exe cmd.exe

Ren C:\windows\system32\utilman1.exe utilman.exe

Before i sit googling for 10 minutes, what's the easiest way to mirror laptop screen onto another laptop?
Using an HDMI cable? Or wirelessly? meaning what other settings do I have to change aside for clicking one of those F4 or F9 or was it F13...? Thanks guys.

I don't think HDMI would work as an input on the 2nd laptop. I think there are things you can buy to do that or maybe there's a program that would do this over wifi?
Workflowy. You won't know what you're missing until you try it.

Maybe try this? I haven't done it but it looks pretty simple.
