I am cleaning up my desktop and see a file titled "debug" and am not sure when it appeared. What does this mean? Any reason to just delete it?

Seems like it's there since March. You can right click the file, click properties and the date modified will tell you the last time the file was changed.

Can't figure out how to do that.
Search for device manager. Tell me what it says under "display adapters"

You should also be able to get the correct/updated/reinstall Display Drivers from your PC manufacturer's website.

I use the iPhone voice memo app to record certain meetings but have had the recording stop in the middle when a phone call comes in. This has happened even though the phone was set to silent and do-not-disturb. Is there any way to prevent this? Thanks.

Make sure DoNotDisturb is set to Silence: Always. (i.e. not "when screen is locked")

@Thingywingy try putting DND to manual, make sure you have allow calls set to none.
If that doesn't work, then what happens when recording is off do calls come in?

Does anyone know of a good option for buying Parallels? Someone mentioned to me that he bought it recently with a student discount for around $40 though I can't find that option. On their website they sell it for $80 and it's only a 1-yr subscription. TIA

Google brings up the student price. $40 a year. Don’t know what you need to verify eligibility.

https://www.parallels.com/landingpage/pd/education/

Did you check eBay? Might be worth trying it out for a few dollars (or dispute / refund if doesn’t work).

I'm trying to fix an old Thinkpad and have run out of ideas of what to try. I found this (empty) thread on reddit where someone had the same problem, but there's no response. I'll quote the thread:
Quote
ThinkPad E540 won't turn on, no LEDs, and very quiet pulsing sound when plugged in.
Hello all,

One day this week whilst using my 2014 ThinkPad E540, it suddenly switched off without warning. It was plugged in at the time, and also connected to an external monitor.

Since then, I have been unable to turn it back on. None of the single red LEDs come on when I plug in the AC adapter, although there is a very quiet pulsing/beeping sound only when plugged in. I don't think it's an intentional beeping sound, about twice a second, and it's quiet enough that I think it's probably the hardware (close to the fan or CPU when I listen to it).

I did recently install an extra 4GB of RAM and an SSD into it, although it has been completely fine for the past couple of weeks since then.

I was wondering if anyone had any idea at all as to what's happened and if there's a solution?

Things I have tried that are suggested solutions:

Taking out the RAM and CMOS battery
While completely unplugged (inc. battery), pressing the power button 10 times, then a long 30 second hold.
Thanks
Any and all suggestions are welcome

This is on an optimum altice modem, why am I still getting a message that port 81 is closed?
If it's not free shipping it's not worth it.

Can't be sure, but is it locally accessible at 192.168.1.3:81?

Also is this device's WAN IP a public IP? (Trying to rule out double-NAT, that there is more than 1 router etc.)

Yes, it's accessible locally. The device does not have a WAN IP (at least I don't think it does), it's a DVR for cameras.

Was talking about the router.

Can you show more details on the rule (like editing the service)?
