Are you sure you closed all disk partitions (system reserved as well)?

Maybe a screenshot of Disk Management with both drives connected?

Since the SSD was done as a GPT disk you might need to go to the BIOS settings and change boot mode from Legacy to UEFI, then try to boot from the SSD (connected alone) again.

If this doesn't work out I'd give it a shot to reinitialize the disk as MBR (in Disk Management) and then clone again the full disk.

Don't see an option to change to uefi closest I see is this. That's good?

Odd options and wording, but can't hurt to try.

(It was set like this "UEFI only" or this is after you changed it?)

I changed it for the picture. Still didn't help. I'll try recloning it as MBR. I'll have to figure out how to wipe it and reclone. Hopefully not too complicated

I left my computer on this time. It said it cloned successfully. It boots up windows shows the logo and shows the mouse cursor on a black background but it never gets to the login/lock screen. Just stays black. I tried clicking Ctrl alt dlt - didn't do anything

Maybe try using a different cloning software? Did the SSD come with a recommended one? Is it showing up as GPT or MBR in DSK Mgmt?

I can try tonight. Which one do you recommend? SSD didn't come with any. It was originally initialized as gpt then I used diskpart to change to MBR.

Ok - I don't have any recommended ones as never used before but would recommend trying a different one if this one isn't working. As well, make sure to change yours BIOS back to the original settings of what you may have changed. Would recommend a clean wipe of the whole SSD again and making sure its set up as an MBR (as you have BIOS & not UEFI) before you re-clone.

I already changed the setting back before. If I delete the partitions does that count as a clean wipe? (One of the commands i did with diskpart was "clean" not sure if that formats it or something). The reason why I did it with diskpart was because I couldn't find the option to switch it to MBR through the regular disk management

Run clean command on that disk and then afterwards "clean all" on that disk

Seem to have some sort of bug. Yesterday, my mouse pointer started disappearing when using it on a Microsoft Word document. Works perfectly everywhere else, but there are times that I find myself clicking blindly trying to highlight words on a document. I made no changes to any settings. Any suggestions for fixing this?

try repairing office. go to control panel, programs, click on office, do "change" and try "repair".

Will that have wider ramifications?

Try launching safe mode. Does it happen there of not do a online repair, essentially it reinstalls all office apps.

Launching in safe mode, certainly not.

Open Office apps in safe mode on a Windows PC.
