If your computer or phone is giving you issues:

• Please read this before posting: 4 Reasons Why IT People Ignore Your Requests for Help
• Restart the computer. Hopefully this will take care of any issues
• If your problem has not yet been solved, try to Google it. There may be a very simple solution
• On a Windows computer, a system restore may do the trick.
(This is a work in progress, please feel free to add whatever you may feel is helpful)

I am getting ERR_CONNECTION_RESET whenever I try to access NY State websites. This seems to be true for both Chrome and Edge. My only way to access those websites on my desktop computer currently seems to be using Opera.

I have tried many different suggestions to fix, but to no avail. I suspect it has something to do with me removing Surfshark VPN software (which I previously had, and removed after my subscription expired). I have also tried using other VPN services, and am getting the same issue.

When using a different computer, if using the same Chrome profile, I seem to have the same error, but when using incognito I can access with no issue. I tried going back to my main desktop to see if incognito would solve the problem, but it does not.



Any clues on how to fix?
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

I have a similar issue for the website https://thejewishchords.com/ on my phone it doesn't work in chrome.

Very different issues. His issue has to do with his own connection or cache error. I.e. his computer is having trouble connecting to the server. Your issue is an issue with the server. It's connecting with the server it just doesn't know how to handle something properly - probably a bug in their code that isn't able to handle the mobile site. For your issue, try doing the setting that allows you to see the desktop site and see if that works

Don't think so, it works on other browsers and it works on chrome on other phones, just my phone is having the issue. (desktop site doesn't help)

Do you have a filter on your computer? Can you try using a different dns server?

Tried disabling all extensions? A new browser profile?

I'm trying to copy folders from an external hard drive onto my laptop. When I copy it over the folder icon that I copy it over to has a small x on it and when i open it in the status column it has a sync icon. What does that mean?

Possible a screenshot?

Perhaps you're syncing to some cloud storage like OneDrive, Dropbox, or Google drive.

Indeed OneDrive syncing.

You're signed into OneDrive? Check the OneDrive icon in the system tray what the syncing status is.

Sometimes the sync files because of unsupported folder names. Try to rename the folder to something simple to see if it helps.

I don't know. I'm completely unfamiliar with onedrive. How can I copy it onto my computer and not the cloud?
