Let's make sure I understand. Router 1 is out of range of your wireless devices. Router 2 is within range. You have an ethernet cable from 1 to 2. You want wireless devices to connect to wireless 2, which you want on the same subnet as 1. Correct? If so, router 2 should be configured as an AP.

Correct!
So if router 2 is properly configured as an AP, does that mean that port forwarding on router 1 is sufficient to access devices connected to the AP?

Yes. It will act as an access point, all router (dhcp, nat, etc) will be disabled. The ip addresses will be coming from router 1.

My computer is very noisy lately. It constantly seems to be 'working'. Like it has a disc in the drive or something. Not fulltime, but quite frequently. The disc drive is empty. I have a Dell Vostro 230 running windows 7 home premium.

Vacuumed. Used the stick piece. Didn't turn it off, but accidentally hit the power strip off button, so it went off anyway.

You shouldn't have used a regular vacuum because the static electricity can damage the circuits, or so they say. The compressed air cans are pretty cheap and work better than vacuum.

So far the computer seems to be working - no vacuum damage. It also may have solved the problem, but it may still be too soon to tell.

every so often, while im typing, instead of a letter coming from the key, it opens a dialog box.
for example if im typing a doc in word, all of a sudden, when i press say the button for letter t, instead of a t coming up, the t button opens a certain dialogue box; every letter a different box.

i cant get it to go back to typing letters unless i restart my computer.

anyone ever encounter such a problem, or more importantly, know how to fix it?
