What model is router 2?  Some models can be set up in repeater mode.  If not, and you do not want to use file sharing (only internet), have the ethernet cable go from a LAN port on router 1 to the WAN port on router 2.  Make the IP subnet different on both routers (e.g. one router should be 192.168.0.1, and the other should be 192.168.1.1), set the WAN to DHCP
Router 2 is probably going to be an "onnetworks".
In the past I have had Wan to Wan, it worked fine, but now I want all devices to share a router; basically trying to hook up a foscam IP camera to router 2 and want to be able to access the foscam from all devices locally and also set up port forwarding.

Let's make sure I understand.  Router 1 is out of range of your wireless devices.  Router 2 is within range.  You have an ethernet cable from 1 to 2.  You want wireless devices to connect to wireless 2, which you want on the same subnet as 1.  Correct?  If so, router 2 should be configured as an AP.

Correct!
So if router 2 is properly configured as an AP, does that mean that port forwarding on router 1 is sufficient to access devices connected to the AP?

Yes.  It will act as an access point, all router (dhcp, nat, etc) will be disabled.  The ip addresses will be coming from router 1.

I have a MacBook pro and the screen has the backlight on and a picture of a file with a question mark in it and the file blinking. I can't get passed this, anyone know what this could be?

My computer is very noisy lately.  It constantly seems to be 'working'.  Like it has a disc in the drive or something.  Not fulltime, but quite frequently. The disc drive is empty.  I have a Dell Vostro 230 running windows 7 home premium.

First recommendation would be to clean the inside of the computer really well using compressed air or something.

Vacuumed.  Used the stick piece.  Didn't turn it off, but accidentally hit the power strip off button, so it went off anyway.
Thanks for your attention.  I'll see if it works and keep you up to date.

You shouldn't have used a regular vacuum because the static electricity can damage the circuits, or so they say. The compressed air cans are pretty cheap and work better than vacuum.

So far the computer seems to be working - no vacuum damage.  It also may have solved the problem, but it may still be too soon to tell.

maybe someone can help

every so often, while im typing, instead of a letter coming from the key, it opens a dialog box.
for example if im typing a doc in word, all of a sudden, when i press say the button for letter t, instead of a t coming up, the t button opens a certain dialogue box; every letter a different box.

i cant get it to go back to typing letters unless i restart my computer.

anyone ever encounter such a problem, or more importantly, know how to fix it?

thanks
