Online Order Mistake

So I ordered something from a major retailer and in addition to receiving the item that I ordered they also sent me something else valued at roughly $200.
I have already been charged (correctly) for the 1 item I ordered. I called the retailer to explain the situation but was put on hold for 15 minutes and lost patience.
Do I need to call them back and go through this again? Should I just sell the item on eBay? Any chance they come back and charge me for the item?

They let you wait for 15 minutes after offering to return the item?
Keep it. If they would have wanted it back, they should have called you back.

Keep it. If they would have wanted it back, they should have called you back.

Are you asking if I'm Jewish? We went to the same high school :) And no, this was a major retailer owned by one of the larges companies in the world.

Honestly, I wouldnt mind selling it and making some money. I did my due diligence. At this point, I guess I'm more curious if they will come after me later. Am I doing anything illegal by not returning it?

Chances are they will apologize and tell you to keep it. If they start suggesting that you send it back, immediately get mad that on top of everything now you want me to go through the trouble of shopping it back to you?!! Get the idea?

Not a bad idea. The retailer was Cole Haan. Does that help or hurt me? anyone have an experience?

No problem.
The odds are that if it ended up being shipped to you and it is not on the packing slip, they will have no idea where the item actually went. I think that since you had made an attempt to contact them about it and had no luck, just keep it and be assured that you have no legal obligation and you used your Amex.

I asked as if the company was jewish. Bec if it was i would suggest u should return it... Its very similar if they give you the wrong change back..or charge you to little - what do u do.
