Bathroom Hock
« on: April 26, 2013, 12:12:53 AM »
There are so many different thoughts and questions pertaining to the bathroom that come to my head every time I go for my weekly visit. I think this can turn info a fun discussion. My bathroom thoughts and questions include:

- Those stupid air blow dryers have never, and will never work. I just end up wiping my hands on my shirt
- What makes those waterless urinals so special? Does zeroflush technology actually do anything different?
- What is the proper placement for the toilet paper roll? Should it roll out from under or over? I'm a big over guy. Under is too awkward.
- If there are 5 (or any number) of urinals, which one is most likely to be the cleanest/least used? My belief (not based on statistics :) ) is that the one right before the end would be the cleanest.
- If you cant think of Torah in the bathroom, how can you remind yourself of all the bathroom halachos?

And I have many, many more...What are your thoughts?

I once had one that worked.  :P 8)

- What makes those waterless urinals so special? Does zeroflush technology actually do anything different?
Besides for the fact that they don't use water, and save money. Nothing.

- What is the proper placement for the toilet paper roll? Should it roll out from under or over? I'm a big over guy. Under is too awkward.
Tissues.

- If there are 5 (or any number) of urinals, which one is most likely to be the cleanest/least used? My belief (not based on statistics :) ) is that the
One that is between 2 that are used more often.

- If you cant think of Torah in the bathroom, how can you remind yourself of all the bathroom halachos?
It should be part of you, do or not to do these things; you shouldnt have to think about it.

And I have many, many more...What are your thoughts?
Is it proper to busy yourself while in the bathroom? (book, magazine, phone etc)

+1 wipes are awesome
-1 you'll break your septic tank if you're flushing the wipes. There are also no better options than flushing .

i sincerely believe that the first stall/urinal  is the cleanest for two reasons,
1) it's probably cleaned first by the janitor and therefore most probably cleaned best
2) most people walk right by it (i think because it makes them feel as if they are making a choice or some other exciting piece of psychology) either way I've almost never seen anyone go straight to the first

1) Maybe
2) Not IME. Many people don't care or don't think of the statistics and its still more likely to be dirty. That being said, the middle one I believe is thebmost attractive urinal so I stay far away from it. The end is also not the best because those trying to run away from the first and the middle, usually end up at the end. So I take the one right next it.

perhaps i need a higher prescription but i can't seem to make out the exact bacteria and nasty microbe count without actually sticking my head into the urinal which is unhygienic any way you cut it.

Am I the only one who doesn't care if the urinal is spotless? Are you planning to eat off of it???
