Reverse tethering Android (root required)

I just came across this app I have tested it and its really cool. Basically you can use your computer's web connection on your android phone. (In my case I do not like using to much data since eventually I get throttled and my phone cannot pickup wifi like my computer can)

Why can't you just connect via your routers wifi?
