Hmm, Maybe...

How does it compare to Lynda? (I have free access to that via my local library)

Lynda is training on all sorts of stuff, while Kelby is only about photography and related topics, so their more focused. Their quality and variety of classes blows Lynda out of the water. They have a huge number of world-class photographers teaching there, and not just in a studio. Many videos are out on location and the like.

I've used both and there's simply no comparing the two.

I'm putting together a group to buy a http://kelbyone.com/ subscription. Training on photography, Lightroom, Photoshop, and all kinds of related subjects. My cost is $139/yr. The more people we get, the cheaper it'll be for everyone. Multiple people could be logged in and watch videos at once; I've done it last year already.

Anyone want to join?
Does the subscription include all of the courses on their site?

One last question, is there a max amount of people logged in at once?

I've never run into issues. I can't guarantee anything of course, but so far so good.

Am I tied down to CC? Cuz all I have is CS6.

Also, do they offer courses in indesign, I do quite a bit of work there too.

The android app has horrible reviews... Is there a way to watch the videos offline or is this an online only course?

I think you could use it in-browser on Android as well, although I'm not sure.

There's no official way, but I've downloaded plenty of classes using a flash grabber and renaming (not converting) the files to MOV.

So potentially I can download all the videos and not renew until I get through watching those?

Also, does this subscription include ALL kelbyone course including the video-production ones?
If yes, I'm definitely in.

Eta: how many participants are you capping this at?

Yes, everything's included. Downloading is time-consuming (each video has to be manually done, and there are multiple segments per class), but it could absolutely be done. I have a huge downloaded collection myself.

No real cap on participants, but the more the merrier (as in, cheaper ;)). So far we have around 10 participants. I'll give it till sometime tomorrow I think.
