I don't think 21,000 SPG points for 17.5 RR credits is that great of value, but this is nice if you need to top off your account

Its pretty similar to the Amex MR-SPG that ended June 30th: http://www.dansdeals.com/archives/8147

You were able to get 16 credits with 24,000 MR points.
Now you can get 17.5 credits for 21,000 SPG.

I assume SPG will count the credits toward earning companion passes. You would then need to transfer 120,000 spg to get 6 RT tickets and a companion pass.

Correct me if im wrong on the math.

Never mind, I see a 60K transfer gives you 50 SW (although 20K=16.5 and 40K=33) so 120K will get you the CP status as long as you do it in 60K batches.

The best deal is to open a new southwest account and get the free 6 or 8 credits. then it would only cost 12-15k spg points to total 16 credits.(its 1500 points per credit) You can open accounts for all your brothers and sisters....;-) not a great deal but still workable

I'd be bummed, if there was still an 8 credit sign up bonus.  I just created an account for my two year old daughter through an old post on the main board for 2 bonus credits.

Oh yes.  I did get that offer 2 now and 2 later (4 total).  I'd still be bummed if the 8 credit signup offer was around.
