He did not ask about going down south. He just asked for a 2-3 night no fly cruise from the tristate area

Understood. Haven't seen anything that goes other directions aside from a crossing to England.

do cruises allow heating up of pom meals?

Which cruise lines would you recommend from FL?

if not Kosherica, then people say that Royal Caribbean is of good quality and their kosher "airline meals" (weberman?) are decent. You can bring food and keep in your room, however, i"m pretty sure (cmiiw) that most kitchens will not allow any outside food to be brought into their ship's kitchen, even double wrapped. It's much stricter than most hotel standards.
One exception may be on the Alaska cruises when they all fish for fresh, wild salmon and the cooks will double wrap it and serve you.

I had Weberman meals on NCL departing port of Miami.

My experience About "double wrapped fish" , we were offered double wrapped salmon which we enjoyed very much. After the 2nd time we got it I realized that the fish had grill marks. I asked the waiter who is in charge on the special food how he prepared this. He said that they have a special frying pan used for kosher meals and " after " the fish is grilled they double wrap it in foil......

I had a ice box with food in my room.
The person in charge of the room changed the ice every day.

Friday we made early shabbos. So I had them prepare my meals before

I had a small crock pot And I brought along meal mart fish and chulent that don't need refrigerator. I got raw eggs from the kitchen and put them in the chulent.

Interesting,
If they use the grill pan just for kosher fish, then we don't really know if it's always washed separately, or if it's ever washed with sponges from dairy or meat.
Same issue with them making the grill marks and double-wrapped baking, then it wouldn't be 'bishul yisroel' for those who are machmir.

NCL is probably priced well. That's good that they permitted a crock pot in the room. (You asked?)
Wonder if Royal Caribbean would permit a crock pot. Costa allows smoking, so prob more lenient.
Celebrity does not allow smoking, so perhaps they'd be stricter.

Even double wrapped, isn't there still an issue of bishul akum?

I did not think about bishul Yisroel at the time. And after he explained to me how he does it I did not order it again

I did not ask about the crock pot . They probably would not allow if I would asked .

bishul akum is not a chumra. One who is not machmir on it is akin to one who is not machmir on non kosher wine or chicken with milk. This confusion comes from various foods about which the need for bishul yisroel is questionable. Grilled salmon is not one of them.

Of course the non Jew cannot be believed that the grill pan is only used for kosher, or that it was only cooked double wrapped had they made that claim. Other potential issues are ensuring that it is actually salmon or a different kosher fish and that there are no non kosher flavorings put on it and the like.
