Wire fee on money transfer from Israel to USA?
« on: April 29, 2013, 04:41:48 PM »
Need to transfer some money from Israel to US.

My Israel bank will charge around .23%, and my local US bank said there was a $35 fee. Any ideas about US banks that won't charge a wire fee?

Other ways to transfer money?

No local guy in your shul that launders money? Don't ask me about legality.
I'm talking about a guy that has to be paid by someone in America and it works that you give him the money and he gives the money to the person that you need in the states.

The cheapest way would be, if you know someone that is flying to the US.
ETA: Only if it is less than $10,000.

If you have a Chase then give someone that you know cash and let him write a check for you and deposit it with the Chase APP  :-\

problem is that I would still have to pay to convert the money, although I guess that's not too bad.
But i don't want someone carrying the money for me
