Decent BOA card w/ no AF (when canceling a diff card)
« on: April 24, 2013, 11:59:43 AM »
If anyone is canceling a BOA cc w/ an AF, but want to keep an open account with them, this card looks like an easy way to make $100-$120 per year.

https://www.bankofamerica.com/credit-cards/products/better-balance-rewards.go

Not too rewarding, but it's better than an unnecessary hole-in-the-head.

Where do they pull from in NY?

There is a thread with that exact question.
Search for BOA and you'll see it.

Nice idea, but I once tried to convert a HAwaiian card and they refused to allow me to switch to any no-annual-fee cards, maybe I just got a cr@ppy CSR...

At first she didn't see the card, but she searched again and found it, so I transferred cards.

It seems like you would have to actually use the card to get the 100 dollars. BoA, among other stupid banks (Barclay etc.), don't have a normal autopay system so IMO this does = "a hold in the head."

Ok, at least there's no fee...
