Around two months ago I received the Amex Business Platninum with the $5000 spending threshold to receive 25k points. I met the threshold and the points are in my account. Although I have no use for the perks of this card, I would like to keep the account open since I do not have any other Amex cards. My questions:
1) Can I downgrade to a free card, and if so, how? (I remember reading about an "sm". I have never done that before, but if that is the best way, is there something specific I need to ask for?)
2) Will I receive a credit for the yearly fee? Is it prorated per month?
3) Do I need to transfer my points out?
