Closed wife's account on Monday and reapplied yesterday, and now a day later the application is still pending😣

Got denied due to a high over the limit usage on a Citi CC (that I paid off already 2 days ago), that statement will close in a few days then it will update on my report that the balance is down to 0 but they will require another hard pull!! $:-\$

Is there anything I can do that I shouldn't require another hard pull?

You learn the hard way. Should have waited. I made the same mistake with my wife on amex.

When the statement will close (in a few days) will it be clean and paid off on the report?

They have mile breaks too where great deals could be found

I don't see why not. I was auto approved 4 days after I closed, but I don't see why recon could be bad. I called that day to discuss the US cc I also applied for that day, and they didn't mention closing the LH recently.

Thanks, although I don't see needing KRK-NYC anytime soon. I think I'll more likely go for Dan's suggestion of 70K RT NYC-HON in F.

When booking on Lufthansa for tickets in first class to Hawaii on United, how are they when it comes to availability? How many such reward tickets do they usually give? I'm curious because I need 4.

I imagine avail is only visible for dates well in the future or for within 14 days like normal LH F. So, see if there's any avail for this week and then call to see if you could get 4 seats. Try it for a few dates and you'll probably get a good estimate.

Thanks. Out of curiosity, were you able to get any first class tickets and if so, how many? Also, did you have a hard time finding tickets for the dates you wanted?

Have not booked yet. My 2nd round of LH cards haven't come yet. But, once Dan explained it, I found Saver seats on UA.com for random dates in either March or April. I forgot.

But wait! I'm so wrong here. LH releases F seats to UA.com 14 days before the flight, but this flight is UA metal. I don't know what their deal is with releasing F seats.

From a quick look now, it looks like over the next few days there are some seats but only with a stopover. Also, looks like a lot of the time it's only 2 cabin planes. I see June 10-11 has 3 cabin planes but only Saver on J not F (direct).
