Intro APR for 15 months on balance transfers made within 45 days of account opening

Barclays doesn't approve a second card in almost all circumstances.
Iv'e got my wife this card and 3 weeks later applied for US Airways got approved as well without closing first one although only $600 credit line. so YMMV
The way to go is to close your card, wait a week (I can only vouch for a week, might be less), apply for a new card (I can only vouch for a different card, it might not matter. Try it out!) and bam! get approved instantly! (that's what almost all Barclays approvals are)

The evidence is still only from a small number of cases, but it works.

P.S. I don't take responsibility and you can't sue me if it doesn't work.

P.P.S. This is called the SFGM. It's named after the person who helped me discover it.

There are many, many reports of success churning the card without needing a new FFN.

Ask for the annual fee to be waived. It will be. Don't give up after 1 no. The first responders are "relationship managers." They are often unhelpful with the fee. Just ask specifically to speak to "an account specialist." They can waive the fee. If you have trouble getting to an account specialist, you can tell the relationship manager who answers the phone that you were on the line with an account specialist and got disconnected. They should be more than happy to "reconnect" you.

I think most people who fly to tlv return  :D

Then they'll be booking OW and can't take advantage of stopovers. But for OW ex tlv it's a good deal to C1/C2

That's probably at a higher mileage band. For ~50K I think ~1.2 is the market. If not, please pm me.
Well after u spend 5k youll have 55k and then u could transfer over 20spg to make it 80 and then u could spend anither 5k on it to top it off to 85k and that will be worth 1.6 for sure.
Its a total waste to sell 50k for 1.2.

Swiss F is nice, but doesn't compare to CX F or SQ R which are far more attainable.
Yes, but CX doesnt fly to TLV and SQ only works ex-US without a night layover.

Flying LX F ex-TLV for 85k LH plus $300 is a great deal these days.

Plus if you know how to get LX F from TlV-ZRH it's a cherry on top.

Hmmm that could be a problem. Well u should get the card if u dont have it. If u do have it  u should spend 20k and youll be getting worth of 2cpp just from the 20 to 25 bonus plus the profits of making ur 55k of lh miles go up from 1.2 to 1.6 !!

-100 you can change your address in less than 10 seconds

Can this be done even if account has miles? are there any other repercussions to this?

Yes, you can get the seat, but they don't have F service.

They don't sell the seat beforehand.

But, you can pay at check in about $800 to upgrade to the seat (from business) or if you are a hon member they will upgrade you.

Again, all you get is an F seat, but with J service (same meal, FAs, etc)

If they don't do an equip swap ;)
But yes, good use of LH miles for a one-way TLV-JFK.

Was good when US was in *A with no YQ.
Impossible to avoid YQ now.
But when you fly with an infant, take into consideration what you save on the infants ticket.

You usually spend less when paying YQ + $17.50 for infant than no YQ but %10 of full fare.
Most people seem to forget that.

Yes, that usually happens to me. Surprise that didn't happen to me over there.

Anyways, recently it's been in my favor:)

Not that I've seen any reports, but me personally wouldn't do it with my personal account.

I'd rather spend the miles for a Europe trip.
The world doesn't begin and end with TLV (as the majority of DDMS readers seem to believe).

My wife won't let me fly with lap children anymore. Her logic is hard for me to argue with.

1. Does it make sense that you can't hold your bag during takeoff-landing, but you can hold your baby?  Would you hold your baby in a car?
The FAA says really everyone should be strapped into their own seat, but they're afriad people would opt to drive over flying which would just cause more injuries overall.

2. Is it really enjoyable to hold a baby for a whole flight? Or to have to wake them out and remove from the bassinet every time there's turbulence?  It's not worth spending the miles to get them their own seat/carseat to sleep in?

1. you know what we did (during turbulence)? We just ignored them. I told the FA we're not going to wake up the baby, and that she would also not appreciate a crying baby in first class. She replied "I just have to tell you, that's my job. Now you do whatever you wish".

But yes, we had to hold the baby during take off.

2. LH allowed me to bring the carseat on board and even offered me two options: I can either strap the carseat to an empty F seat or strap it to my bed (near the seat).
I chose the latter.
Love me or hate me. I still love you.

Nice...

Just to clarify, was that for TLV through JFK or just to ZRH?
