Moving to Israel - Hints and Ideas
« on: May 03, 2013, 02:55:22 PM »
So I am planning on Moving to Israel for a few months next week to see how it goes. My family has an apartment there that I would be staying in with some things all ready there. I am going to be maintaining my same job there just working mostly the American Hours.

My questions is what hints, ideas, or knowledge do you all have for me? Anything special to know about that would help? I know this is kind of broad but anything in the slightest idea would help. I was there for the year in Yeshiva so I know whats its like about being in Jerusalem for a long time, but just curious as to what is different about working/living there. TIA

Was actually thinking about it, suggestions where to go look at them, and someone willing to give me a lesson or two when I get there?

-1 I'd say a lesson (even a small one time lesson) is a good idea. Especially when driving in Israel.

I bought mine on yad2.co.il. I was very happy with it and I got a great deal. Then some Arabs (may they die slow and painful deaths) stole it from the Ramat Ha'golan and Yam Suf circle one night.

I brought it to Rami at Ofnoay Hapisga on Yirmiyahu to check out. He told me it was a great buy, and it was.

Question. I am going to go look at Ikea for some furniture in the US and write down the numbers of the pieces, is it the same stuff as the Ikea in Israel or is there a different system in place or do they have a whole different selection to begin with. TIA

so when you see things in america nd say oh this is a good price- its usually around double that depending on the exchange rate.
sometimes it better to see what people are selling and you can get great bargains ( i know when i sold my stuff people got really gr8 bargains!)
