The Chase Sapphire points transfer to United. I'd open that and the United. One each for you and your wife. You can open more as well but if you don't want to I'd put the rest of the spend on the Sapphire or Starwood.

American Express points also transfer to United partners which will let you book tickets to Israel as well.

Sapphire isn't the best for spending, though its great for the bonus. Sign up for up the Sapphire, and downgrade it to the Freedom for spending.

Well there are plenty you could open to get a sign up bonus with spend like that.

My personal top picks for spending :
Chase Sapphire Preferred
American Express Business Gold
Starwood

Others to consider opening to get the sign up bonus.

Chase Hyatt
Chase United
Chase BA
Starwood Business
Ink Bold

Depends on what you do with it.

Can anyone point me to the exact differences between Presidential Plus and the United Club Card?
I am assessing whether to keep PP, or let it go for now and apply for UC when I need it next.

I noticed my Costco Amex gives me 3x cashback on gas purchases up to $4000 a year, when there are no 5x bonuses does it make sense to use this card?

I also have:
SPG
Freedom
SP
Discover
I only paid 15% by switching to dansdeals

What type of points do you earn with Costco Amex?  If it's MR points, 3x is GOOD.  If it's some sort of costco points.....

Ink is better.

At the moment I don't have an Ink card.
Thats why I was asking from the cards that I do have, which makes the most sense.

(as stated above I have:

Costco
SPG
Freedom
SP
Discover )

I think it's: buy gc's at office supply stores and use them at costco.  That earns 5x in UR points - gc fee.
right?

Close.. buy gas station gift cards at office supply store, and pay with gift cards at gas station. 2 reasons. 1- 5x points 2- cash price at gas station!

Ink is better in itself without purchasing GC because you get 2X on gas and if you value each point at 1.8 that's 3.6 as opposed to 3 cents.

I may not have enough information for this question to be answered:

At some point I will bli neder be buying tickets to E"Y for this summer.  The airline we use depends on the best deal that I can find.  Class will almost certainly be coach.  What is the best card to use?
