which card to use now that freedom exclusives will be ending? Dan wrote a beautiful article summing this topic up but now that the exclusives are ending its in need of an EDIT

The Freedom was never recommended for ALL purchases.

Are you asking what to replace the Freedom with for all purchases for which the Freedom was recommended?

IMHO, Amex SPG. Starpoints are good, and you're gonna want the added protection of an Amex in case anything hits the fan.
