Actually in Israel, Amex is accepted just about everywhere.  Bank HaPoalim is the processor for Amex in Israel, which is also the processor for Isracard, which is accepted everywhere in Israel (like Visa/Mastercard in the US).  Basically they force Amex acceptance along with the standard Isracard acceptance.
In the past 2 weeks alone at least 5-6 times I've been told by stores that they don't accept Amex. I've yet to be told that about a visa cc in all my years in Israel.

I currently stay at a Hilton hotel twice a week. Which card would be best to use? I currently have SPG, CSR, Everyday, and Freedom. Should I sign up for a Hilton card? If yes, which one?

I'm asking which would be a better value, the 3 UR ppd I'm currently getting with CSR, or the 7 or 12 Hilton ppd. I know Hilton points are not that valuable.

Dilemma, use milts CB Groupon offer for 15% back and use my CSR for 3ppd, or use my blue for business for 10ppd without the Groupon? I'm leaning towards the amex.

Which is better to book a hotel room, 8000 UR points or $55 cash (- 9x Freedom bonus)?
Would the freedom bonus be $5.5 statement credit or 5500 points?

Platinum for furniture over 10k, or simply blue for 2x points. Will plat help for damages, or not covered anyway.

How would a hotel room that costs $55 be 8,000 UR points? Is there a chase unreserve card that does the opposite of what the reserve card does for your points? Do they claw points on a sign up bonus?  ??? ???

Maybe you got the numbers mixed up - $80 / ~5500 UR?

It posts as points.

To qualify for the 10% back on freedom it has to be booked through ultimate rewards travel site. You can't use priceline etc...

Which is a better deal for me, to book a hotel room at 8000 UR points or for me to pay the cash part of $55 for a cash/points reservation? (Someone else would pay the points part.)

Would the Freedom bonus be $5.5 statement credit or 5500 points?
FTFM. 8000 points or $55 for one night?
There doesn't seem to be a cash/points option on the UR site, only with the hotel chain directly. That means there is no advantage in using the Freedom CC for the 10x bonus?

Still not getting how you get a $55 room for 8000 points. I'm assuming 8000 is directly through the hotel and the $55 is with OTA? Regardless 8000 points has a value of $120 through the UR travel portal, thus making it not worth it at all.

Won't Chase match an OTA if you call?
