No , I am in middle of finishing doing my research from the state department website as well as being in contact a few people there . One who used to live there who travels back and forth another who is from military intelligence who is assisting me . Where I am going and where I will be is not known for being a hot bed anymore for terrorist attacks ei IED's on the roadside . Or kidnappings .The last time something major happened it was back a number of years ago. They are friendly towards European's as well as American's .

Update from my trip to Iraq Kurdistan . I stayed in the capital Erbil - Arbil .  Oh first and foremost the kurds are friendly towards American and European people . I think the reason for this is that they have been oppressed a number of times and tend to feel in some ways like Israel . To enter you don't need a visa before hand they give you one on arrival that is good for 15 days . Ok the airport is small in Erbil they had 4 - 5 planes there and two conveyers to pick up your luggage from the airport . The first time I exited the airport from my arrival there where a number of people picking up others they had to clear security a day in advance by calling up a certain number to enter . There were also buses to take us to a different exit where the rest of the people where waiting .

To give you a picture of what was like there all around there are construction projects going on . 95 % of the People are driving cars that are brand new or that were made in the last three years . There are security military members every time you leave or enter any part of a village or city and within also . All in all I felt safe there meet with a number of people who spoke a decent English . I traveled from NY to London to Istanbul to get to Iraq Kurdistan. Here is a helpful link http://wikitravel.org/en/Iraqi_Kurdistan if you have any questions feel free to p.m. me .

Big opportunities there.
You just have to get the kind of wife which would allow you to travel there.
