how old is your baby?
She will be almost 5 months.

If you figure that out let me know
Seems like others have managed. How is the big question. If all you need is a room key maybe you can pay someone off to give you theirs for a few minutes.

Trying to plan out my Singapore trip a bit. We land on Friday at 7am and are on a 7pm flight on Sunday. Getting in and out will be with Singapore airlines. As will have a baby with us I booked the Sheraton before the rate changes in March, since we can't eat out on Shabbos either way.

I was thinking of going Friday morning to little India and the Arab quarter and then see Orchard st which is right near the  Sheraton. Motzei Shabbos (shabbos ends at 830) we would do the night safari. Sunday would go to Sentosa island, Marina bay sands hotel, and then Chinatown.

Am I missing anything? Should I do it differently? If Chinatown is not really worth seeing maybe I would take it out and do the Arab quarter and little India on Sunday to give my wife so breathing time after all the flying to get to SIN.

If your wife is into that stuff, you might want to go to the Orchid Gardens. Really nice

It does look really nice thanks.

Is it hard to wheel around a stroller in Singapore?

Also my wife is devastated to learn that chewing gum is illegal there  :) We are going to SIN before the rest of our trip so that means no gum at all. What a wacky law!

Maybe you can sneak some razzles in for the rest of the trip since technically they aren't gum until you start chewing. :)

Thanks guess we will need to take many ac breaks. Are the subways crowded like in HKG? Wondering what the best way of getting around with a stoller would be.

SIN doesn't seem like such a good place to break the law Ill let you try it first :)

Right across the border there is legoland malaysia. My kids loved the san diego one, if you have enough time, it might be a good day trip from sin. I am considering it

Depends on the age, I would say for kids under the age of 10 its very good. Over that incl. Parents universal is better

Spending Shabbos in Singapore this July. Due to the fact that we have a baby we decided we will eat the meals in our hotel room. Has anyone ever done this and is there a simple way to get Shabbos meals fully ready to go in Singapore?

  • Location: The value of a forum such as this one is not in that one can post a question and receive an answer, but in that the question has most likely been asked before, and the answer is available to him that will but only use the search function.
  • Programs: 1. Search on google. 2. Search in the right board of DDF with a general word or two. 3. Read the wiki. 4. Read the thread. 5. Ask away.

I'm sure the restaurant can set you up for shabbos.

I have a few friends there if you are worried I can ask them for you.

Thank you I really appreciate the offer. I emailed the restaurant 2 days ago but didn't hear back from them yet. If I still don't hear from them in another day or two I will let you know. Would otherwise be so unsettling to go there without knowing, especially since I only land Friday morning. Thank you so much!

Spoke to the restaurant over the phone. Seems like I can buy grilled chicken etc for Shabbos as well as salads etc, along with grape juice and rolls from the shop. Maybe I will bring along cholent meat and make a cholent in the hotel.

Has anyone gotten a haircut in Singapore? Going the morning after T Baav so can't get one at home. Still remember the time I got one in Australia, and had to tell them about jewish haircuts....

Will be there this shabbes as well. Get a babysitter. Depending on your Rabbi, she can push the stroller to the meal
