@ milk issue. I heard it's like China and it's a issue of being kosher
China has supermarkets where you can find milk.

Seems like this entire thread revolved around kosher food and shuls in SIN, but does anyone have any experience with doing anything nature oriented outside of SIN, or crossing into Malaysia?
Is 6/7 days with kids going to be boring?

I'd submit 7 days is too much for SIN.

However, Malaysia is very,  very close, even bike able, so if you include that, it may make sense.

If you have the budget, there are TONS of child friendly attractions in Singapore. I have taken a ferry from singapore to Batam, Indonesia in the past (just for the cheaper hotels) I have also crossed over to Johor Bahru, Malaysia (which is not a very nice city but Legoland is right around there somewhere, also IIRC there is a hello kitty theme park somewhere there)

There are many day/week pass options in SIN that will give you entrance to the Zoo, Night Safari, Dolphinarium (yes, they have pink dolphins there - kids would love it), Cable Car, etc....

You can do at least 2 days of stuff with the kids in SIN another 2 in Malaysia at least.

@ milk issue. I heard it's like China and it's a issue of being kosher

The kosher branch of Coffee Bean uses long-life milk from Australia, so it's OK if you drink Chalav Stam - no need to request soy milk.
FWIW, the shabbat i was there food for lunch was excellent IMO - 5 or 6 salads, spicy lamb chulent, rice, hot chicken, cold cuts, cakes, fruits, soft drinks and many other dishes. Not sure if it made a difference, but Diamond Joe sponsored meal that week...

I stayed at Rendezvous a few years ago . 5 minute walk around the corner. They let me keep my luggage there over Shabbos even though they checked me out on shabbos. I paid about $200 then but Google seems to show it for $140. Fairmont, intercontintal and Carlton are all a little further but no more than 15 minutes.  Contact chabad to see if they have any deals through any hotels.

Anyone have experience in SIN with hotels that have a kitchenette, or at least a normal fridge? What are the options to store / prepare food?

Having just done a crash corse on SIN by reading the entire thread it seems there's mixed opinions on both how good the food is (both during the week and on Shabbos) and how long to stay.

We'll be splitting our time between SIN and HKG, landing in HKG on Monday morning and leaving SIN late Sunday night.

Should we spend longer in SIN or HKG? I was thinking of flying to SIN either Wed night or Thursday morning. Does this make sense?

I know everyone seems to agree HKG at KZ is better for Shabbos, but flights don't work out that way.

We very much enjoyed our Shabbas in SIN. Though davening was on the on the longer side, we met a nice lawyer from Skadden who even invited us over for a Sunday afternoon BBQ!

Shabbas food was fine.

Not to mention the glorious Grand Hyatt there. Two floor suite is hard to beat.

Thanks. Did you stay at the Grand Hyatt the entire time you were there? How kind did you stay in SIN total? Was it enough time?

And you had enough to do? That would mean we'd stay Fri through Tue pm.

Wasn't the walk to shul far? Looks like a 38 minute (1.5 mile) walk. Aren't there good points options closer to shul like the Intercontinental, Conrad, or Ritz?

Sorry dude

Been there twice for Shabbos.

Food is below avg and not exactly plentiful and the davening is longer than Rosh Hashanah in most places

Agree with this.
Also Weds-Mon is too long.  I was there Fri-Sun and hit up most everything (see TR).
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.
